We're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Luminance RED. This is certainly not typical.
Please make sure of the following:
1. Make sure your device has been in the charging base for 5+ hours prior to use.
2. Make sure you're placing the device in the charging base the correct way. (Please see attached picture)
